2017 Projects

Bon Air Library Rain Garden

The County of Chesterfield and the Middle James Roundtable teamed up to provide a rain garden workshop and to install a rain garden at the Bon Air Library. Chesterfield County’s Environmental Engineering BMP crew did the excavation and site work on March 23, 2017. Eleven people attended the rain garden workshop on March 25th. They attended a 90 minute classroom session in the morning and did the planting and mulching in the afternoon.  MJRT also provided funding for educational signage for this project.

AG BMP Signage

In 2017, Monacan Soil and Water Conservation District (MSWCD) installed two Ag BMP signs at farms in Goochland. The signs will educate the public on stream exclusion.
